The serviced apartment sector is growing. It’s partly due to growing awareness – what we provide is still not universally known or understood. But as understanding builds, more people are appreciating what serviced apartments can give them that hotels can’t. Read on to find out what my reasons are for why serviced apartments are being chosen in place of hotels.

So here are my 6 reasons why serviced apartments are being chosen instead of hotels.

1. Better for your finances

People are starting to wake up to the fact that serviced apartments are normally cheaper than hotels. Serviced apartments effectively charge per room, whereas hotels charge per person. In terms of space, you actually get a lot more for your money. And also, you’ll save on extras like laundry, internet and food – all are typically more cost-effective than in a hotel.

2. Better for space

This is always a big advantage in a serviced apartment. You’ll almost certainly get more space, but more importantly you’ll also get separate rooms and areas, giving a feeling of spaciousness. And space really comes into its own when you’re staying for more than one night.

3. Better for business

For business travellers, serviced apartments offer a variety of benefits over hotels. Firstly, in a serviced apartment you’ll get a proper area to work – rather than having to have the laptop in bed. With longer business stays, this becomes increasingly important. But also, the home away from home feeling of a serviced apartment really helps for regular corporate travellers missing home comforts and family. Plus, it’s often more cost-effective for businesses. A two-bed apartment is much cheaper for 2 separate travellers, and you’ll save on food and laundry because of the facilities on offer.

4. Better for hosting

For obvious reasons, a serviced apartment is a much better choice for anyone wishing to entertain anyone. For business travellers catching up with clients, you’ll have a much-need space separate to your bedroom. And for those visiting family or friends, it gives you the option of hosting, and not always relying on those you are visiting.

5. Better for flexibility

When you’re away for more than a couple of days, flexibility becomes essential. Serviced apartments allow you to eat when you want, or have it cleaned when you want. You have total control and privacy. And with kitchen and washing amenities on offer, you have the freedom to live the way you want to.
