Well I don’t know about you but we are quite ready for things to start easing up as the lockdown restrictions lift in the UK. The week of sunshine we had in March has given us the boost we needed to keep powering on through to warmer weather and happy reunions with friends and family. While summer holidays abroad are still up in the air we’ve seen a huge surge in demand for staycations – which is great, because Craven House is the perfect spot for just that.
Here are six reasons you should book a serviced apartment rather than a hotel for your 2021 staycation, especially as we’re tentatively tiptoeing out of lockdown.
Craven House luxury serviced apartments in Hampton Court and Claygate sit on the fringes of South West London: an area packed with all the fun, charm, history and beauty a visitor to the capital could dream of. There is plenty to see and do, and we’ve rounded up our best options that still allow for social distancing. Read on for more:
Here at Craven House we’ve been working hard to make sure your stay with us is as safe as possible. We want you to be able to arrive, kick up your heels and relax without having to worry about your surroundings, especially right now when we are all more conscious of our health. We take sanitation and cleanliness very seriously and have put all the processes in place to ensure that very high standards are met.
But don’t just take our word for it –
Well, it’s been a strange year hasn’t it? Who would have thought that we would spend a large chunk of 2020 in lockdown. But while we’ve been socially distancing in the physical sense, we’ve certainly felt like we are ‘in this together’ in the emotional sense. Here in Hampton Court and our surrounding villages, we’ve really banded together as a community and it’s been a joy to watch. Mezzet, our local Lebanese restaurant baked fresh bread and gave it away for free every day in March and April, Miss Polly’s café supplied food boxes, cooked meals and delivery of delicious treats and our butcher set up a handy order and delivery system.
But now our local shops, eateries and attractions are slowly reopening, and it’s our turn to help them out after a tough few months. So if you’re planning a staycation in our area, here are some spots you can visit:
Here at Craven House we are so grateful that we’ve been able to keep open over the last few months, offering a ‘home-away-from-home’ for those on our frontlines and people awaiting repatriation flights. But now life is slowly returning to some form of normal we’ve got summer holidays on the mind. And with this glorious weather set to continue, we’re sure we’re not the only ones.
Goes without saying that summer getaways are going to look a bit different this year but we’re actually really excited about the idea of discovering more of England and keeping things close to home. A break without the less-than-fun airport experience sounds pretty lovely to us, wouldn’t you agree?
That’s exactly where The Staycation comes in. Sunny days enjoying the beauty of England, leisurely strolls along the River Thames, long hikes through the Surrey Hills – sounds idyllic doesn’t it?
We’re gearing up to welcome staycationers back to Craven House, here’s what to expect:
It’s an unprecedented time in our history. All across the world we have watched countries close down and head into their homes. Our medics are serving selflessly on the frontlines and the best we can do to help them is to stay home. But sometimes that’s not always possible.
Here at Craven House we know that despite the lock down there are a number of reasons you might still be in need of a safe place to stay. Whether you are awaiting a repatriation flight home, your home renovations have stalled and you can’t actually live there right now, or you work on the front lines and need to stay apart from your family for a few weeks, a serviced apartment might be just the thing you need.
Our apartments are safe, comfortable and spacious – even in a less than ideal situation. Here are some ways we are working to make Craven House as safe and accessible as possible for those who need a place to call ‘home’ right now:
We know it’s only March, but if you’re involved in the Hampton Court Flower Show this year then you’re sure to be on the lookout for accommodation. Luxury serviced apartments are the perfect option for an extended (or shorter) stay, whether you’re a business involved in the Hampton Court Garden Festival or visitor coming to enjoy the splendid blooms. Here are a few reasons you should consider booking into Craven House in July:
Doing a whole lot of delicious nothing, nipping out for an afternoon stroll, or perhaps an evening at the theatre, whatever your preference, to help you plan ahead, we’ve gathered up some ways to make a romantic stay in South London truly memorable. So read on to get started…
Here at Craven House we’re lucky enough to be ideally situated for all the events and festivals that take place in Hampton Court Palace and the surrounding villages over the year.
