Summer in Hampton Court
Well, it’s been a strange year hasn’t it? Who would have thought that we would spend a large chunk of 2020 in lockdown. But while we’ve been socially distancing in the physical sense, we’ve certainly felt like we are ‘in this together’ in the emotional sense. Here in Hampton Court and our surrounding villages, we’ve really banded together as a community and it’s been a joy to watch. Mezzet, our local Lebanese restaurant baked fresh bread and gave it away for free every day in March and April, Miss Polly’s café supplied food boxes, cooked meals and delivery of delicious treats and our butcher set up a handy order and delivery system.
But now our local shops, eateries and attractions are slowly reopening, and it’s our turn to help them out after a tough few months. So if you’re planning a staycation in our area, here are some spots you can visit:
