Here at Craven House we’ve got easy access to the shops of Kingston and London, but we’re also lucky enough to have a bustling high street packed full of independent, local shops. If you’re visiting us before Christmas you might want to do a spot of shopping in the area so we’ve rounded up some of our favourites for you to visit while you’re here.

Hampton Court

In Harmony
First off let’s start with a real indulgence – In Harmony gift vouchers.
In Harmony is a beauty salon and spa down the road from Craven House and these vouchers would make a really lovely gift for your stay in Hampton Court.

The Vineking
You can’t really go wrong with good wine, and it does make a rather splendid hosting or thank you gift. The team at Vineking have almost two decades of sourcing and selling wines under their belt. Tell them what you’re looking for and they’ll recommend some splendid options with this truly personal service. And if that’s not enough they often run wine tasting events so you could turn your shopping outing into an evening soiree.

Jouleberry Jewellery
If you’re looking for something extra special for someone extra special then look no further than Jouleberry. You’ll find their beautiful boutique on the Hampton Court high street, just a short stroll from Craven House. You don’t even have to go into the city.

Fountain Gallery
This pretty little gallery is packed full of all kinds of artwork to adorn your walls. Whether you’re shopping for someone who already seems to have everything, looking for a ‘new home’ gift for a friend or family member, or treating yourself to a new addition to your personal collection, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re looking for here.

Buba London
Just the spot for beautiful women’s wear and trinkets for your home. You’ll find everything from knitwear and jewellery to candles and soft furnishings.

A little bit further afield

Kingston

Just a short hop up the river you’ll find the ancient market town of Kingston, now a bustling hub of university students and London commuters. Home to the Bentall Center and a large John Lewis it’s got pretty much everything you need to get your Christmas shopping done in one afternoon. Plus the sweep of restaurants along the river offer multiple choices for refueling stops during the day.

Shopping In Kingston

Teddington

Take a leisurely stroll right through Bushy Park and up into the little town of Teddington. Along its busy highstreet you’ll find shops like Heirloom, a great spot to snap up some gifts for the whole family. Teddington is also home to The Collecterie, which boasts an ever-changing selection of vintage and antique goods, and is definitely worth your time.

Cobham

Beloved by locals, the little Cobham gift shop Evie Loves Toast is a treasure trove of goodies. You’ll find clothing, homeware and toys galore on their beautiful shelves. Pop into Gail’s for a coffee and one of their famous almond croissants afterwards.

London

It goes without saying that some of the best shopping in the whole world is only a half hour train ride away in central London. Plus, at this time of year the streets will be bedazzled and bedecked in all their festive finery – a sight not to be missed! Wander around the boutiques and flagship stores in Covent Garden market, enjoying the snow machine and spectacular decorations, or mooch up to Kings Road Chelsea and spend the afternoon trawling through Belgravia enjoying the spectacular shop displays. If you’re not into crowds however, we advise avoiding Oxford Street – you’ll find most of the same shops in Kingston and it is very busy this time of year!

I hope you’ve found this edit of our local, and not-so-local shops helpful. If there is anything I can help you with, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to welcoming you to Craven House very soon.

All the best
Lucy
