Hamlet returns to the Globe theatre this January, snap up tickets pronto as it’s sure to sell out.
Chinese New Year
Head to London’s China Town for a brilliant celebration of Chinese New Year complete with a spectacular parade.
Kew Orchid Festival
5 Feb – 6 March
This year’s theme, Costa Rica, is the perfect antidote to what is sure to be some rainy February days. Snap up those tickets quickly though as this is a very popular event.
Just the thing for half-term fun in south west London, the Imagine Children’s Festival on Southbank is packed full of events and workshops to keep your little people entertained, see the program here.

Easter Egg Hunts
A flurry of Easter activities will be happening at various National Trusts across the county. Why not sign up for an Easter Egg hunt with the little ones?
Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race
After being cancelled in 2020 for the first time since WWII and being a rowers-only event in 2021, the Oxford and Cambridge boat race is open for spectators again!
FA Cup Final
Whether you’re in the crowds or watching from a local pub, you’ll bear witness to football history this May. With quick transport links to London Craven House is a great spot to stay if you’re attending the match.
Chelsea Flower Show
24 – 28 May
A celebration of all things flora, the Chelsea Flower Show in south west London is back with a bang.
Hampton Court Palace Artisan Festival
13 – 15 May
Shopping, delicious food, vintage music and traditional fete games and workshops await at Hampton Court’s annual artisan festival.
A new route and new format but the same world-class cyclists on the streets in and around London.
Trooping the Colour
Join in the Queen’s official birthday celebration with a military parade and a spectacular fly past, with 2022 being the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this one is sure to be even bigger and better than usual.
Queen’s Platinum Jubilee long weekend
4 – 5 June
Without a doubt one of the biggest events of 2022 is the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Events are planned throughout the year but the first weekend of June is the big celebration with the Platinum Party at the Palace happening on the 4th and the Big Jubilee Lunch and the Platinum Jubilee Pageant on the 5th.
Private gardens across south west London and the city fling their gates open to the public to explore and enjoy.
27 June – 10 July
Welcome to the home of British Tennis. While tickets are likely to already have been allocated you can still register to get any ticket returns, or soak up the festive atmosphere in Wimbledon village itself.
Hampton Court Music Festival
A popular celebration of summer in the gardens of the palace, pack a picnic and enjoy some music and those longer June evenings.
Hampton Court Flower Show
The gardens of Hampton Court are prepped all year for this particular weekend. It’s well worth a visit and since we are just down the road, Craven House makes for the perfect spot to stay.
Taste of London Regent’s Park

London Literature Festival
The Southbank Centre near Waterloo station plays host to 2022’s London Literature Festival – an easy train ride in from Craven House.
November is the month of firework displays with both Wimbledon Park and Morden Park renowned for spectacular shows. There are smaller but just as fun displays all over south west London and Surrey.

This month also sees the return of the spectacular Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink. Remember to book tickets in advance!
