While holidays abroad are still hit and miss we’ve seen a huge surge in demand for staycations – which is great, because our luxury serviced apartments offer the perfect locations for just that.

Here are six good reasons to book serviced apartments rather than a hotel for your next staycation.

1. No shared spaces

Unlike hotels with foyers, lobbies, restaurants, elevators and corridors, our apartments are totally self-contained and share no communal areas. We even have a ‘contact free’ check in process, a private front doors and secure off-street parking.

2. Better for indoor space

We won’t beat around the bush, the Craven House apartments are large, with gloriously tall ceilings. There is plenty of room for your family, or support bubble, to gather safely for some quality time together. Unlike hotel rooms which are often just the room and the bathroom, you’ll have access to your own kitchen, living space, separate bedrooms AND pets are welcome – so please don’t hesitate to bring your furry friend along too.

3. All of the outdoor space

This one is not exclusive to serviced apartments but we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to sing the praises of our area. The humble ‘walk’ has taken on a whole new meaning in the last few months and we’re fortunate enough to be located near some rather spectacular outdoor spaces. Bushy Park with it’s herds of deer, is literally on our front doorstep, Hampton Court Palace Gardens (complete with Tulip Festival in April and May) is down the road and Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and the Surrey Hills are all a short drive away. There is no shortage of options to enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

4. Your own kitchen

Another perk of a serviced apartment over a hotel room is having your own kitchen giving you full control over where and when you get to eat. You’ll also have access to laundry facilities in your own apartment so everything is kept close at hand, with no mixing outside of your bubble. Plus, we’ll even stock the fridge for you if you send us a shopping list ahead of your arrival.

5. Cleanliness and safety

Here at Craven House we have spent the last year putting into place robust protocols and processes in order to keep our guests as safe as possible. All our guests fill in a Covid safety form prior to arrival, every apartment is deep cleaned between guests, and VisitEngland even said we had “excellent standards of cleanliness”. There are also less people in the space than in a hotel.

6. Flexible housekeeping

Unlike hotels, our housekeeping is totally flexible and you can let us know when and how often you would like it to happen. Whether you want us to wait until after you’ve left, or do the cleans while you are out and about – you decide.
These are just some of the reasons why a luxury serviced apartment should be your top pick for your next getaway.

We look forward to welcoming you to Hampton Court soon.

Best wishes,

Lucy

  1. The home away from home feeling! this is something I always missed when staying at hotels. The hotels have their perks but the discovery of serviced residences changed my vacationing fo the better.
