As we close the door on 2015, I look back on the year we’ve had, the wonderful guests we’ve welcomed as well as the events that we’ve been lucky enough to see.
2015 kicked off with our full refurbishment at Craven House where we saw all of our luxury apartments get a complete overall with a new look and feel. We only had 12 weeks to complete all 5 apartments, plus the purchase and renovation of our newest apartment in Claygate – so time was of the essence, but style and quality essential. I was so pleased with the results and the comments we have received since have been really positive.

We also saw the annual Hampton Court Flower Show in July as well as the Prudential RideLondon Cycle event in August where we literally hung out of the windows at Craven House to watch the likes of Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish whoosh by! The atmosphere was fantastic. I very much look forward to the event again in 2016.
For me however, the highlight of the year was Craven House achieving the GOLD Standard from VisitEngland. We not only maintained our four-star status but also received the accolade of a Gold Award which VisitEngland recognises for “those special places where the property goes the extra mile”. It’s very satisfying to know that the hard work that went into the improvements and that the small details are appreciated – I certainly know our guests notice them.
And so onto 2016! We have official Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon in March with the event starting on the iconic driveway of the Palace – this is the first and only half marathon to boast this amazing start line! Of course, we will enjoy the busyness of the prestigious Flower Show in July but most of all, I am very excited to tell you that we will be celebrating Craven Houses’ 10 year anniversary in October.
