Our serviced apartments are fortunately located for a rich variety of fabulous London attractions. But being positioned adjacent to Hampton Court Palace is something that never fails to bring guests to our doors.

This summer the palace will be alive with activity for all the family, and here are some of the highlights.

Hampton Court Palace Food Festival – 25 to 27 August

This sounds amazing. There are live cooking demos in the historic kitchen from celebrity chefs throughout the weekend. Then there’s also a food market with 100 different artisan stools selling their wares for you to build a very special picnic.

Plus, there is a range of kids’ activities from shire horses to Tudor cookery, and it’s all included in your palace admission. A must for foodies – get more info here.

Tudor Joust Weekend – 14 & 15 July

For something even more authentic, try the Tudor Joust Weekend. Enjoy the sound of charging horses and the clash of cold metal as an authentic Tudor joust is recreated in front of you.

Again, it’s included in palace admission so these are great days to head to HCP! More details here.

Storytime Sundays – 1 July, 5 August and 2 September

These are always hugely popular. Essentially they’re interactive storytelling sessions, aimed at children, based around a well-known children’s book.

It’s included in palace admission but very popular, so worth planning well ahead – and each session usually lasts 20 minutes.

RHS Flower Show – 2 to 8 July

This event will see a huge range of plant and flower exhibitions displayed across the palace’s fabulous gardens.

There are also wonderful places to shop and eat, all managed and co-ordinated by the brilliant people at the RHS who do so much for British horticulture. Tickets here.

Luna Cinema at Hampton Court Palace

Luna Outdoor Cinema – August and October

I can’t recommend these screenings enough. Throughout the summer, on the East Front Lawns with the palace as a backdrop, the Luna Cinema will screen iconic movies.

This year’s titles include Moulin Rouge, The Shape of Water, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Screenings always sell out, so get booking here!

Or visit any day you’re free…

Truth be told, the palace is fabulous on any summer’s day, with its vast and beautiful gardens, winding maze, and areas of the palace to explore.

And if you’re interested in staying somewhere nearby, look no further. From some of my apartments, you can actually see the palace itself. To view my apartments, my rates, or take a video tour, please head here.

Have a wonderful summer!

Best wishes
