You’d be forgiven for thinking that the Hampton Court area is all about the palace because it truly is spectacular. But there are also lots of lovely little coffee shops and restaurants dotted up and down the various high streets making for the perfect spot to entertain clients when you’ve got a business lunch or simply to take a break from your laptop when you’re in the thick of it.

Here are our top recommendations:

1. The Six

Not only does The Six boast an absolutely divine a la carte menu that changes every few months, it is also ideally located between the Hampton Court Maze and Bushy Park – a stone’s throw from Craven House. Equipped with WIFI (just ask your waitress), The Six also has a private dining room with space for 10 and AV equipment making it an obvious choice for a business lunch if you’re entertaining a bigger group.

2. The Mitre

With two truly beautiful restaurants – Coppernose and The 1655 Riverside Brasserie, as well as the toasty Kings Ginger Winter Terrace, you’re spoiled for choice at The Mitre. If the mouth-watering menus aren’t enough, it’s just down the road from Craven House so you can even take a leisurely stroll home after your business lunch. There is WIFI throughout the hotel and meeting room accommodation for 16-40 guests. Not far from Hampton Court station, making it very convenient if your colleagues or clients are coming from the city, this is the spot to pick if you’re looking to impress.

3. The Giggling Squid

If you’re looking for some less traditionally British cuisine then the Giggling Squid is a great option. A little further afield in leafy Esher, this Thai resto has a delicious eat-in menu but they also offer home delivery in case you wanted to entertain in your apartment, or simply need to fuel yourself for the rest of your working day. Esher is also on the fast train from London and very accessible from Craven House, making it a good inbetween meeting spot. And that’s not all, this particular Giggling Squid offers step-free access and vegan and veggies options too.

4. The Pheasantry, Bushy Park

The Pheasantry offers a more casual dining experience alongside the opportunity to ‘walk and talk’ through the beautiful Bushy Park. There is a coffee station as well as Benugo’s style cafe with open guest WIFI and serving unpretentious food, with in a truly lovely location.

5. Henry’s Kitchen

A bustling eatery on the Hampton Court high street, close to the palace, the station and not far from Craven House, Henry’s Kitchen is a great spot for a business brunch or snacky lunch. As with the other options, you’ll also have access to WIFI and there are meeting rooms too. With vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu they cater to just about everyone! Plus the street is just plain lovely – dotted with independent shops and antique treasure troves.
